Welcome to the Albany Bulb! The Albany Bulb was truly a refuge for the refuse. This project will incorporate themes of art and liability. The Albany Bulb is a former landfill, jutting west from the east shore of San Francisco Bay, largely owned by the City of Albany. The Albany Bulb was previously a construction debris landfill site until operations were ceased in 1984. The Albany “Bulb” is located at the foot of Buchanan Street at the Albany waterfront . Sculptor and activist lawyer Osha Neumann has created some of the largest works. But for nature buffs, The Bulb takes some getting used to. In the midst of a complicated stew of people and competing interests, a multi-authored creative vision united in spirit has arisen from this mound of detritus.
