There is Still Time to Resister!
The latest weather report we’ve seen states there will be rain tomorrow (June 2, 2018) for the event, but it (the rain) shouldn’t start until 11am. (event 9-11:30am)
This award-winning unique family-friendly free event is open to the public. Fishing poles, bait, light picnic-style lunch, and free door prizes will be provided but participants must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone. No child leaves empty-handed.

June 2nd is part of Wisconsin’s free fishing weekend, nobody needs a license to fish in Wisconsin on June 2nd !
– Special Gifts for attendees in recognition of our 7th year-
- The first 100 children aged 2-17 to arrive will receive a fishing rod are reel to KEEP! – Courtesy of the Western Wisconsin AFL-CIO and Pure Fishing. If there are excess of 100 children in attendance, those arriving after the 100th child will receive a fishing related door prize.
- The first hundred children in attendance will receive also receive a coupon for a “buy one – get one free” root beer float courtesy of Rudy’s Drive-In of La Crosse and other outdoor related door prizes.
This is the perfect opportunity to introduce youngsters to the benefits of fishing and the abundance of public access opportunities available in our community.
So grab your camera and get ready for a fun day at Pettibone Lagoon! Be sure to join us after the event for a picnic-style lunch.
Bait for the event has been donated by Ace Hardware of La Crosse. The hot dogs for the light picnic lunch after fishing have been donated by Bakalars Sausage Company.
