Thank you for everything you are doing in your states and communities to elect pro-labor candidates. We all know that this is the most important election of our lifetime—so much is on the line for workers and our unions—and we need to mobilize every single union member, co-worker, family member and neighbor to get the job done. That’s why this year we’ve included a robust women’s mobilization initiative to Labor 2024—Union Women Get It Done!

This year, union women will be more critical in helping make history as our labor movement is poised to elect Vice President Kamala Harris as the first woman president of this nation.

The Union Women Get It Done initiative will further engage women across our movement in our 2024 Solidarity program like never before, so we can win on the issues that matter to us and to our families: access to unions, equal pay, reproductive health care, childcare and paid leave.

As part of the program, we have designed two key components, and we need your help to spread the word:

• October 1, 7 p.m. ET—AFL-CIO Union Women Get It Done Virtual Summit: Ahead of the debate between Governor Tim Walz and JD Vance, we will host a virtual women’s summit and come together to push back against Vance’s dangerous and harmful rhetoric about women. We will also discuss our shared goals, reaffirm our commitment and drive home the importance of electing Vice President Kamala Harris. You’ll have the chance to dig in deep on the issues that matter most to women and working families and hear from some very special guests.

• Share the Union Women Get It Done Toolkit: Share the toolkit to engage and activate union women and their networks through women-focused events, canvassing, phone banking, hosting house parties and more.

The toolkit includes core talking points and messages, sample social media posts and more. Participants also can get a free T-shirt if they post on social media using our designated hashtag #UnionWomen! Please note – the link to our new Mobilize tool will allow you to upload women’s mobilization events – phone banks, walks, house parties – in your area.

Your leadership and engagement are essential to the success of this program. The strength of our movement relies on your ability to mobilize, inspire and drive action within your communities. Together, we can harness our collective power to achieve our goals and ensure that our voices are heard loud and clear.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your regional director.

Thank you for your unwavering dedication and leadership. Let’s get it done for Vice President Harris and for all working women across America!
