First, I have to say thank you to everyone who supported me in this campaign.
I’ve been inspired and honored by the support I’ve received this year. It was truly humbling to see how this state rallied around my campaign and believed in my mission and values.
Although Tuesday (August 14th) didn’t go exactly the way we planned, we have absolutely nothing to hang our heads over. I’m proud of the campaign we ran, and you should be, too. It was issues-oriented, it was honest, and it was built and sustained by hard-working Wisconsinites like you.
Labor, elected officials, Wisconsinites: now is the time to come together and support our nominee Tony Evers. Our common enemy is the division that Scott Walker created.
That is what is on the ballot in November. Together we can build a new Wisconsin that invests in public education again, that ensures everyone has access to affordable health care, that puts working families over millionaires and special interests.
It is our responsibility to make that Wisconsin’s reality. We must remain united to beat Scott Walker and I ask you to remain engaged and hold your candidates accountable for real plans to solve the issues that impact you the most.
Make your voice heard and your vote count.
Thank you, again, for your investment in this campaign and your support. I’m excited to see what’s next and I look forward to fighting alongside you in the following months for a more progressive future for America.
Always remember that together we rise.
