Take Kids Fishing Day

2nd Annual Union Sportsmen’s Alliance & Western WI AFL-CIO

Dust off those fishing poles and get the kids outside for an exciting morning of catching bluegill and bass!

This unique event is the perfect opportunity to introduce youngsters to the benefits of fishing and the abundance of public access opportunities available in our community. No fishing gear? No problem! Fishing poles and bait will be available for participants to use. So grab your camera, register the kids and get ready for a fun day at Pettibone Lagoon. Be sure to join us after the event for a picnic-style lunch!

This event is free and open to the public but limited to the first 150 kids. All participants or groups must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone. Please pre-register by Thursday, June 6 by contacting La Crosse Parks & Recreation Department at 608-789-7533.

If you’d like to help make this event a success by volunteering, making a donation or providing door prizes, please contact USA National Events Coordinator Tim Bindl at timb@unionsportsment.org or by phone at 608-397-1023.
