Gundersen hospital workers have been risking their own health and safety to care for our community during this pandemic. They provide nutritious meals to patients and staff, ensure clean, sanitary rooms and supplies, maintain the hospital building and equipment, deliver critical supplies, and provide comfort at the bedside when no other visitors are allowed. Their work is essential, but they are not paid a living wage.

Low pay has driven away many dedicated, experienced hospital workers, leaving workers without adequate support or staffing. Gundersen needs to raise wages to a living wage so it can recruit the needed staff and ensure that workers and patients have what they need.
Workers are exhausted and worried about how they can make it through this crisis, but still they show up, proud of their work providing quality care to our community.
Tell Gundersen CEO Scott Rathgaber: Gundersen hospital workers deserve to be acknowledged, appreciated, and compensated essential workers. Workers need a living wage so they can all support their families with dignity.
