A Maine-based company has been cited after a heat-related fatality in Nebraska.
The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration said Smith Mountain Investments LLC faces $18,564 in penalties after the July death, stemming from work at a jobsite in Inman, Nebraska.
OSHA said an employee became ill while performing extreme physical activity in excessive temperatures and later died.
