In La Crosse, AFL-CIO Community Services Liaison Dan Hanson left his position in 2012. After a great deal of discussion, the Great Rivers United Way decided to not fill that vacancy with a Liaison but rather to convert that position to a general United Way employee. The Western Wisconsin AFL-CIO Council has still maintained a relationship with the United Way but is disappointed that the Liaison vacancy was not filled. It had been a long term partnership between Organized Labor and the United Way. Our thanks to AFL-CIO Community Services Liaison Dan Hanson for his more than twenty-two years of service!
