A Trump administration task force has issued recommendations for the partial privatization of the postal service, among their recommendations is eliminating collective bargaining rights over pay for postal employees, service cuts, increasing postal rates, and the privatization of components of the postal system.

To assist our brothers and sisters in the postal service unions, we need help to secure co-sponsors on two resolutions opposed to privatization, one in the Senate (SRes 99) and one in the House (HRes 33). Targets for representatives and senators who have not signed on to these resolutions can be found at go.aflcio.org/NationalCampaigns. So far, each resolution enjoys bipartisan support. Republicans representing rural communities seem especially sensitive to the impact privatization would have on their constituents. The two resolutions lay out the arguments against privatization and should serve as guidance to inform your conversations with your senators and congress members.

After contacting your legislators please let us know the outcome by filling out this short form HERE.
